Shipping, Returns & Refund Policy
Last updated: 22 August 2026
At Abide in Him Journals, we carefully prepare and package every order so your journal arrives safely and ready to become part of your story.
This policy explains our shipping, returns, exchanges and refund processes.
1. Shipping
We currently ship within Australia only.
Our standard shipping rate is $16.00 AUD per order.
Shipping costs are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase. We do not currently offer free shipping.
2. Processing Times
Orders are generally processed and prepared for dispatch within 1–3 business days.
Personalised journals may require additional preparation time. Where additional time is required, this will be communicated on the relevant product page or after your order has been placed.
During busy periods, holidays or promotional periods, processing times may occasionally be longer.
3. Delivery Times
Orders are shipped from Western Australia. Once your order has been dispatched, standard delivery to metro areas is estimated at 3-7 business days. If shipping to the Eastern States please allow 10 business days.
Please note that delivery time frames are estimates and may vary depending on your location, shipping provider, public holidays and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Orders being delivered to regional or remote areas may take longer than the estimated metro delivery time frame.
The estimated delivery period begins once your order has been dispatched, not when your order is placed.
4. Tracking
Where tracking is available, tracking information will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Please ensure that your delivery address is correct and complete before placing your order.
If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided and the order needs to be redirected or re-sent, additional postage costs may apply.
5. Delayed, Lost or Missing Orders
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery time frame, please contact us at info@abideinhimjournals.com
We will do our best to assist you and, where appropriate, contact the shipping provider to investigate the delivery.
If an order is confirmed as lost, we will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution.
6. Damaged Orders
We carefully package our journals before dispatch.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide:
· Your order number
· A description of the damage
· Clear photographs of the product
· Photographs of the packaging, where relevant
Please keep the original packaging until the matter has been resolved.
We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy.
7. Change-of-Mind Returns
We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.
This includes situations where you:
· Decide you no longer want the product
· Change your mind about your purchase
· Select the wrong product
· Decide you would prefer a different colour or style
· Find the product cheaper elsewhere
However, this policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a product is faulty, damaged, significantly different from its description, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
8. Personalised Journals
We offer personalised journals that are made specifically according to the details provided by the customer.
Please carefully check all names, dates, wording and other personalisation details before completing your purchase.
Because personalised journals are made specifically for you, they cannot be returned or exchanged simply because you have changed your mind or provided incorrect personalisation details.
9. Natural Leather Variations
Our journals are made from genuine natural leather.
Each hide has its own unique markings, grain, texture, grooves, colour variations and other natural characteristics. These variations are a natural feature of genuine leather and mean that every journal is unique.
Over time, the leather will naturally develop a rich patina and may change in colour and appearance through use and handling.
These natural characteristics are part of the beauty and individuality of the leather and are not considered faults or defects where they are consistent with the natural characteristics of the material.
For this reason, your journal may not look exactly like the product photographs shown on our website.
10. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If you believe your product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or does not meet the description provided, please contact us at info@abideinhimjournals.com.
Please include your order number and photographs where appropriate so that we can assess the issue.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
Where a product has a major failure, We may give you the right to choose between a refund and replacement.
11. Refunds
We do not provide refunds for change-of-mind purchases.
Where a refund is required, the refund will generally be issued to the original payment method used to place the order.
Refund processing times may vary depending on your payment provider or financial institution.
12. Return Shipping for Faulty Products
If a product is confirmed to have a problem covered by Australian Consumer Law, we will meet our obligations regarding reasonable return costs.
For a faulty product that can reasonably be returned by post, you may initially need to return the product to us. Where the product is confirmed to have a problem, we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs as required by law.
13. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot legally be excluded.
Our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
These guarantees include that products must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and be fit for any purpose that you have made known to us.
If a product has a problem, your available remedy will depend on the nature and seriousness of the problem.
Our no change-of-mind returns policy does not limit these legal rights.

Last updated: 22 August 2026
Welcome to Abide in Him Journals. By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through our website.
1. About Us
Abide in Him Journals is an Australian business providing handmade and carefully crafted journals and related products.
Throughout these Terms & Conditions, "we", "us", "our" and "Abide in Him Journals" refer to our business.
"you" and "your" refer to the person using our website or purchasing our products.
2. Our Products
We make every effort to ensure that our product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions and other information are as accurate as possible.
However, photographs may vary slightly from the actual product depending on your screen, lighting and other factors.
Natural Leather
Our journals are made using natural leather. Each piece of leather has its own unique character, including variations in colour, grain, texture, markings, grooves and other natural characteristics.
These variations are a natural feature of genuine leather and are not considered faults or defects.
No two journals will be exactly alike. Over time, the leather will naturally develop a patina and may change in colour and appearance through use, handling and exposure to light.
By purchasing a leather journal from us, you acknowledge and appreciate that these natural variations are part of what makes each journal unique.
3. Product Availability
We aim to keep our website and product availability information accurate and up to date.
Occasionally, a product may become unavailable after an order has been placed. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and provide an appropriate solution, which may include offering an alternative product or providing a refund.
4. Prices
All prices displayed on our website are in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and paid for.

5. Orders
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.
An order is not considered accepted until we have received your payment and confirmed your order.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
· A product is unavailable
· There has been an obvious pricing or product description error
· We suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity
· We are unable to fulfil the order for reasons beyond our reasonable control
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will provide a refund for the amount paid for the cancelled order.

We will make reasonable efforts to dispatch orders within the processing timeframe stated on the relevant product or at checkout.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location, shipping provider, public holidays, customs, weather, or other circumstances outside our control.
Once your order has been handed to the shipping provider, delivery is outside our direct control. If your order is delayed, lost or damaged during delivery, please contact us so that we can assist you in resolving the issue with the relevant delivery provider.
